Grandma-killer New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Tuesday that he would resign from office, just one week after the New York attorney general released an investigation that found he sexually harassed multiple women.

“Given the circumstances, the best way I can help now is if I step aside and let the government get back to governing,” Cuomo said.

His announcement follows pressure from the state legislature and others to step down from his position or risk getting impeached. President Joe Biden, who was accused by one of his former staffers Tara Reade of sexual assault, also called for Cuomo’s resignation after previously indicating that the governor should leave his post if the New York attorney general’s investigation confirmed the allegations of sexual harassment.

“Yes, I think he’ll probably end up being prosecuted too,” Biden said in March. “Here’s my position. A woman should be presumed to telling the truth and should not be scapegoated and become victimized by her coming forward.”

In a report released last week, investigators used more than 74,000 pieces of evidence and testimony from 179 witnesses to conclude that the Democrat took advantage of multiple victims including “young women” by engaging in unwanted groping, kissing, hugging, and making inappropriate comments.

“The corrupt reign of King Cuomo is over at last, but the fight for justice and accountability is just beginning,” said Rep. Claudia Tenney, a Republican from Cuomo’s state. “Investigations into Cuomo’s abuse of power, corruption, and criminal misconduct must continue. Cuomo should be immediately prosecuted, not just for sexual harassment and assault, but also for his deadly nursing home policies and subsequent cover up. Every principled District Attorney in the state with a conscience must now prove to New Yorkers that there is not a two-tiered justice system in this state. Albany’s political ruling class must finally be held to the same standards as the rest of us.”
“Those who aided and abetted Cuomo over these many years must also answer for their crimes and corruption,” Tenney added. “Cuomo’s criminal operation was not a one-man show. His actions were made possible by the support of his corrupt cronies and the acquiescence of elected and appointed leaders around him. They should all be held accountable.

Corporate media, Democrats, and blue checks on Twitter spent months lavishing praise on Cuomo for what they claimed was spectacular “leadership” during the COVID-19 pandemic. The same attorney general released a report in January, however, concluding that Cuomo and his administration lied about the number of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes due to his inadequate leadership and policy that sent infected patients into care facilities during the pandemic.
