Authorities in Kentucky have confirmed five people are dead and six injured, including a police officer, after an active shooting in downtown Louisville on Monday.
The suspected shooter was “neutralized,” Louisville Metro Police said.
The LMPD confirmed the number of casualties in a brief statement Monday morning. They had earlier advised people to avoid the 300 block of East Main Street in the city after law enforcement confirmed an “active aggressor.”
