Made by Kelly Toys, each Squishmallow has its own whimsical design and story on its tag to offer a glimpse of its personality.
There are over 1,000 characters, including animals, fruits and veggies, and even plants and popular foods.
Squishmallows have gotten so popular that they were voted the Toy of the Year and Plush Toy of the Year by Americans for the Toy Of The Year awards.
While they retail for anywhere from $5 to $39.99, people have paid big bucks to get their hands on Squishmallows that are rarer than others.

5. WARREN BUFFET AND CHARLIE MUNGER

Kelly Toys is owned by Jazzware, which was inherited by Berkshire Hathaway – the multinational conglomerate holding company where Warren Buffet is the CEO.
At Berkshire’s 50th-anniversary shareholders meeting earlier this year, the company offered guests special Squishmallows depicting Buffet and the company’s vice president, Charlie Munger.
Someone bought the set of eight-inch plushes for $650.

4. STACY THE SQUID

Stacy is from the San Diego Comic Con International’s 2022 Check-in series.
The exclusive squid was only available at the event, fans were quick to snatch her up.
She has glittery black tentacles and features the Comic Con logo on the tag, making her worth even more to die-hard collectors.
On eBay, Stacy sold for $900 in the original packaging.
3. JSK THE CAT

JSK is a well-dressed cat, ready to take on the day with a special tie that matches his blue ears and spot.
He was named after the founder of Kelly Toys, Jonathan Kelly, and only 250 were made.
The only way to snag JSK was by finding a Founder’s Redemption card for him, which were randomly placed in packs of Squishmallow trading cards.
Because of his rarity, people are willing to shell out big bucks for this little cat. Last month, someone paid $900 for a JSK that came with the founder’s card as well.
The price for JSK does vary though, as some listings have sold for as low as $650.
2. LIVVY THE STARFISH

Another ocean-dweller that was extremely popular was Livvy the starfish.
The pink and white tie-dye toy features a large mosaic star on the back.
A 16-inch version of the toy sold for $999 in October.
1. JACK THE BLACK CAT

Jack is the 500th Squishmallows character to be made, and the first limited-edition toy to be sold exclusively through the company’s website.
He is also considered to be the most rare Squishmallow in existence.
He is a simple black cat, with a smiling expression and a gold heart that says “500” on his ear.
He debuted in 2020 and just 500 were made. In another step to make the toy extra special, it even got a special gold, sewn-on tag that says “500th.”
On eBay, the most Jack has sold for is $1,250 for a 12-inch plush and a 16-inch version sold for $1,000.
